Entrepreneurship Education and Learning

Entrepreneurs in the Knowledge-based Economy

The five “new basic” skills needed for everyone to be able to succeed in a knowledge- based economy have been identified as

  • ICT (Information & Communication Technology)
  • Technological Culture
  • Entrepreneurship,
  • Foreign languages, and
  • Social Skills

In the educational field, entrepreneurship is often understood within the narrow meaning of the term and therefore it suffers from a certain image problem, which mainly results from falsely narrowing down ‘entrepreneurship’ to ‘running a business, being an employer/self-employed’.

Education & School for Entrepreneurs

Schools and individuals in the educational field often do not see it as their task to prepare pupils for running a business, but rather to provide them with basic competences for a successful life

We think that education should contribute to encouraging entrepreneurship by fostering the right mindset, by providing the necessary skills for entrepreneurship, and by increasing awareness of entrepreneurship as a career opportunity

Workplace Learning and Earning

Although learning in the workplace and in formal education have a lot in common, there are nevertheless differences which need to be considered and addressed.

Here you will find resources, workshops and services - some of which are free -  to help workplace earning professionals understand and adopt emerging Learning 2.0 approaches and tools in their organisations.
